Street artist Invader Solo Exhibition in Paris

French street artist Invader has an invasion at Le Musée en Herbe in Paris, with his new exhibition called “Hello, My Game Is…”

The title refers to the "Hello My Name Is..." stickers which are very popular among graffiti artists.

The artist takes his inspiration from old arcade games, creating iconic mosaic images of retro video game characters. The name Invader comes from a well known arcade game "Space Invaders". The artist makes 8-bit like mosaic images of the alien invaders from the game, "deploying" them in different cities and countries all over the world since 1998.

The opening exhibition pays tribute to both video games such as Pac-Man and Mario as well as cartoon characters such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Astro Boy. The show includes an installation of the world map which allows the public to locate the corresponding street pieces that are featured in the art exhibition. Another feature of the exhibit is a replica of the artist's studio called "Mothership."

As Invader says: "I have myself often drawn inspiration from the world of childhood. Besides, who other than an adult with a child’s soul could devote his life to invading the world with video game characters? Also, this exhibition is very close to my heart because children represent the future. Education and dialogue with children are the key to a good future for humanity and tomorrow’s world."

The exhibition will run until  September the 3rd at 23 RUE DE L’ARBRE-Sec, 75001 Paris.
