GUNSHIP is an British Synthwave band influenced by the movies, music, early arcade games and the atmosphere of the 80's. They describe their music as "A neon soaked, late night, sonic getaway drive, dripping with luscious analog synthesizers, cinematic vocals and cyberpunk values, exploding from the front cover of a dusty plastic VHS case which has lain forgotten since 1984."
GUNSHIP is not just experimenting with music, but also making interesting music video content. One of their latest works is a claymation called "Tech Noir" in which they collaborate with film director John Carpenter.
In 2016, GUNSHIP released their debut self-titled album as a limited run of vinyl records, in addition to the 80's feel of the album, the cover sleeve was designed as an old "Floppy disc" as a tribute to the 1980s nostalgia. LP was exclusively sold on their official website.
